Who needs this qualification?

Designed for learners aiming to develop skills in delivering training sessions in a manual handling context. Consisting of two mandatory units, the first unit develops learners’ knowledge and understanding of the principles and process of safe manual handling and risk assessment. Whereas, the second unit develops learners’ knowledge and skills so that they can prepare, deliver and evaluate a training session.

How long will it take?

Delivery would typically be through a 2-day training course or 4 half-day training sessions (18 hours).

Certificate validity

AOSH Manual Handling Train the Trainer is valid for a period of three years.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by Multi Choice Questions (MCQ) and Practical demonstration including a minimum 15 minute training session.  To Awarded this qualification the Learner must achieve a percentage pass practical demonstration.
